Filtering post by date field

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Hello,

I have a postype with a date custom field (Date début) for the stating date of an event.
I need to filter the next event that will occur.
So, I have created a Views for this postype and selected 1 as the post number limit.
I have also created a filter :
Date début actu is a chaîne supérieur ou égal à TODAY()
With this, I'm not able to have the next one. So I tried to modify the filter and replace "chaine" by number, or date ... but nothing works.
Is there a way to display the next event thanks to this custom field?

Hello,

Sorry but I just discover that I was using the post date as sorting and I need to use the same custom field (Date début) than used in the filter. Now everything is OK.
Sorry for having posted without taking car of that !
