[Resolved] filterable portfolio.

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The user would like to use the Toolset portfolio module with blocks.

Solution:
The module is built with the legacy views and is not available with blocks. To work around it, activate both the block and legacy editors for Toolset, then create the portfolio with a legacy view and use it inside blocks with a View block, a "classic" or "fields and text" block.

To enable views alongside blocks, go to Toolset->Settings->General tab, under "Editing experience", choose "Show both the legacy and Blocks interface and let me choose which to use for each item I build".

Can I make a filterable portfolio with the blocks plugin? In the modules, there is one but it looks like it requires the views plugin.

Thanks,
Aaron

Hello Aaron and thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

As of now, there is no portfolio module implemented with blocks. Indeed it needs views.
As you may know, Toolset Views and Toolset Blocks are virtually the same plugin, once one is activated it deactivates the other.

You can still use the module inside blocks using a view block.
To enable views alongside blocks, go to Toolset->Settings->General tab, under "Editing experience", choose "Show both the legacy and Blocks interface and let me choose which to use for each item I build".

Then import the portfolio module, create or update your portfolio view and use it inside the blocks editor with a view block, a classic block or a "Fields & Text" block.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you still need anything.
