[Resolved] Filter by Custom User Field – Checkboxes

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

The issue here is that the user had a view listing out all his users in a view and wanted to filter the view by a custom field value.

Solution:

This can be done by going to the user view and going to query filter section of the view. Then add a new query filter and searching for the custom field that you want to filter the view by.

I am creating a view to filter users based on a custom user field.

I have created two custom fields:
Union member (checkbox) - binary 0 or 1
Positions (checkboxes - each choice binary 0 or 1)

When I go to filter the view, I can see the field "union member" but the "positions" are not available.

How do you recommend I proceed? It seems very clunky to have each position be a separate field, but if that is what I have to do, I will.

Hi Susan,

Thank you for contacting our support forum.

Are any of the users Position choices filled? This could be why its not showing up.

Thanks,
Shane

Yes I had sample data in the position fields.

I decided to just go with the clunkier method of multiple checkboxes.
