I’m having an issue where none of my custom fields are being outputted in the content template I have setup.
I have created a demo of the problem by installing the latest version of WP, installed the latest version of the Jupiter theme as well as latest version of Views & Types.
I have a custom post type called Horses and a view called Horses. I have edited the content template to be a Visual composer Tabbed Content element. None of the custom fields are outputted apart from the actual page title of where the view is displayed. hidden link
I can’t share the FTP login, but I have archived the website so you can have a look at it locally.
I am Antonio and I will be happy to help you out with your issue.
First of all, could you please share a screenshot of how you set up the view and the content template, it will help to better understand why it is not working?
Make sure that you have selected the correct post type in your View -> "Content Selection" using the correct checkbox, Horses in this case.
Inside the "Loop Output Editor" make sure you have added the fields using the loop wizard or adding manually using the Field and Views button, place them inside the <wp-loop> tag.
I was able to logged in your website, it seems that everything is correct. Could you please do a copy of the website using the duplicator plugin? You can see how to do it here: https://toolset.com/faq/provide-supporters-copy-site/
I will escalate the issue as it seems that it might be a bug.
Sorry for the late response as Antonio is busy with other tasks. This is Minesh here and I'll take care of this ticket and try to help you further. Hope this is OK.
I'm downloading the package you shared with us and I'll feedback here as soon as I know more.
Well - I see that are some issues and view is not displaying the custom fields added to content template attached to view when you build your content template using the Visual composer.
The workaround for now is to use normal content template (without visual composer) and assign it to your view and I checked and its displaying the custom fields. The thing is that if I change the theme to default theme 2017 , the same setup works.
I will send your duplicator package to our next level support for further debugging. Please hold on for further updates on that.
