I expected to see: My customer used to have fileds to fill in such as RRP or "Saving"..... these are all gone???

Instead, I got: a standard woocommerce product page

Hi Paul

You mean they are missing in the back-end on the product edit page, right?

I had a similar ticket this morning, and after investigating it turned out that there was a 3-way conflict between Toolset and two other plugins, de-activating either one of which would see the custom fields return.

You are not using either plugin according to your debug info, but we should test for the same.

Can you first disable all non-Toolset plugins except WooCommerce and test again?

If you still see the issue, try also switching theme to twentyseventeen.

Let me know what you find so I can see how to proceed.

Hi Paul

I've split off the follow-up question into its own thread, as we have a one-issue-per-thread policy in the forum.

It sounds like the original issue is resolved, yes?

There is a post field group called "Model Information" :

However, when I click Post Fields, nothing is listed???

Hi Paul

I'll try and keep each issue within its own thread.

From your comments in the second thread it sounds like this issue is not resolved.

Looking again at your plugins I can see that you have updated Views to 2.6 but have not updated Types to 3.0.

It looks like you updated Types 2.2.23 via the main plugins page rather than the Toolset installer page which has given you the Types 2.3 update from the main WordPress plugins repo rather than 3.0 from our servers.

That was an unforeseen problem and we will soon release a Types 2.3.1 update that will make it possible for you to update to Types 3.0 via the dashboard.

But in the meantime you might want to download Types 3.0 from wp-types.com/account/downloads and upload the zip file to the Add new plugins page (you will have to delete Types 2.3 first, but won't lose any settings).

You should make sure you have a current backup first (and keep any backup prior to updating to Views 2.6 etc., don't overwrite them in case you need them).

Once you have done that go to Toolset > Custom Fields and check to see whether your Post Field Group is visible. (Currently at Toolset > Post Fields it looks like there are no Types custom fields registered, but I can see there is such data in the database.)

Let me know what happens at this point and then I can see how to proceed.

Hi Paul

On your site if I go to Toolset > Custom Fields I can see there is a custom field group "Model Information", and editing that I can see the fields that are part of the group that should be available on the edit product pages.

But when I edit a product I cannot see the field group, and if I use the Screen Options tab at the very top of the page I can see the checkbox for the Model Description metabox is missing.

On the local copy of your site I have installed I updated to Types 3.0 and I did a "vanilla" test, disabling all unnecessary plugins (so that I only have Types, Views, WooCommerce Views, and WooCommerce enabled).

There I can see the product fields when editing a product page, no problem.

I then re-activated the same plugins you have active on your live site and I can still see the product fields.

It looks like your site is a live site, do you have a staging version for running such tests? (You are on WP Engine, so should have.)

Can you try the same? De-activate all plugins and then only re-activate those four listed above. Test to see whether the fields are visible on the product edit page.

Same login I think

I have deactivated WooCommerce views but it made no difference.

Hi Paul

On your staging site I...

- updated to Types 3.0
- deactivated all plugins
- reactivated Types, Views, WooCommerce Views, and WooCommerce

I then edited a product, and I was able to see the fields as expected.

I then...

- re-activated all the other plugins which had previously been active

I could still see the fields as expected when editing a product.

I'm not sure what the issue with the update was such that it required de-activating and re-activating plugins, but on your staging site at least that seems to have resolved the problem.

You can try to repeat the same on the live site, or push the staging site to production if it is current.

It worked... I can see the view fields.

But the content / sidebar issue is back......... the sidebar drops below the content

Hi Paul

I did some testing on the local copy of your site I have, where the Theme Options for the template don't appear to work correctly on the WooCommerce page.

I set up a clean test site where I was able to reproduce the problem: the layout and theme options for Genesis work fine on normal pages, but not on WooCommerce pages. (Genesis includes special handling for WooCommerce and it looks like we need to make some allowances for that.)

I have escalated this so that my colleagues can did a little deeper. It should be possible to produce a temporary fix by modifying the CSS on the product pages until this is resolved.

I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

Have you switched the live site to the Genesis theme??? It is a disaster

Sorry Paul

I your site and my local copy of your site open in separate tabs at the same time while I was testing and I must have switched theme on your copy instead of mine by mistake, sorry about that, I've switched it back to the normal theme.

Any solution to the sidebar dropping???
