[Resolved] Fieldgroups are deleted

I am trying to: Edit our different Custom Post Type - but all fieldgroups for steering the custom fields to custom post types are not longer existant-

I expected to see:
The custom fields
Instead, I got:
no custom fiels

We had a five years old website with 3 Custom Post Types (Lehrgänge, Orte, Referenten).
For all Custom Post Types we have a set of custom fields in different Fieldgroups, wich are assigned to CPT.
But now are the Fieldgroups not longer existant.
We recognize these, because in the Custom Post Type are the custom fields no longer shown.

Our luck is, that the custom fields with content are still there.
In function Post Field Control i see that the cf are still exists, they we're highlighted with a red colour.

I have the info from possible Users with admin privilege, that no one deletes the Fieldgroup

So two Questions -
1. how could i get back the field groups? Could i recreate these fields and assign the existant cf to the fieldgroups?
I have an older development system where i can see the old fieldgroups and the assignments.
2. Why should the fieldgroups deleted?

I try to rollback to former Toolset Blocks 1.6.15, but that doesn't help,

That is really strange and no other user reported such issue that custom field groups are automatically deleted.

So two Questions -

But before you proceed I would suggest you to experiment such operation on the staging site first.

You may try to export the custom field group and import it using module manager.

2. Why should the fieldgroups deleted?

As shared we do not have such reports yet otherwise we will have tons of ticket reported as this is not simple issue.

I see now additionally, that also in intermediary CPT / Relationship Themen, also the Custom Fields assignment are lost.
These Fields are also visible in Post Field Control area (so also not deleted).
I read your suggestion for export / Import way and was a little bit unsere if these realy work. But i will test it on staging system.
Do you think that it was possible to do these also from hand?

Yes - I suggest please import/export whatever you required like custom fields relationship etc.. on ***staging** site and check how it goes.

i tested it on staging system and all works as expected.
I will do it on live over the weekend.

Do you have any idea how to prevent this behavior in the future or to find the possible reason?

We now also use your solution on livesystem and recreate the fieldgroup.

But still, it was a miracle why the fieldgroups are deleted?
