I have created a new custom post type (Company) and a custom field group for it. When I look at the details for the custom post type or when I'm trying to add a custom post, the custom fields in the field group are not displayed there.
If I add another existing custom field group to the new custom post type, I see those fields without a problem. If add the new custom field group to another old custom post type, I cannot see them in the old custom post type.
Is there any documentation that you are following?

I can't really diagnose the issue without running some tests on the site.
If we can't find a solution through trial and error, I'd suggest you create a staging site that can be used for testing.
In the meantime I suggest you delete the problem field group and start again with a new one. You can add the individual fields you already created to the new field group, you don't have to recreate those to.
Go to Toolset > Custom Fields to see a list of field groups and delete the problem field group.
Then from the same screen add a new field group, and when you go to add new fields to it you will be able to choose from previously created fields.
Save the field group, and then edit the condition for where the field group appears to specify the companies post type.
