[Resolved] External API with TYpes

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

The issue here is that the user wanted to know if it was possible to sync Types with an external API

Solution:

Unfortunatel, no this is not possible.

This support ticket is created 6 years, 8 months ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Thank you for contacting our support forum.

Are you making reference that the external API will provide the custom post type information ?

I know that Types does not support interactions with an external API so this wouldn't work.

If its to maintain the list of posts in a CPT then you might be able to do this with a 3rd party plugin.

Hi Christophe,

Unfortunately no this is not possible to do. I know that for our Types plugin you can use the wordpress REST API to view the Posts that were created with Types.
