This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
How to add expiration dates to subscriptions? Can Access "expire" a user, i.e. downgrade their role, after some interval?
Solution:
Access doesn't include support for such a feature.
Clients typically use the WC Subscriptions extension for such functionality.
