This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The customer is unable to edit a template in their WordPress site using the Toolset plugin. They provided a Loom video demonstrating the issue and noted that they updated all plugins but still couldn't edit the template. Solution:
We suggested updating the Toolset Blocks to the latest version. When this did not resolve the issue, we requested temporary access to the site for further investigation. Upon accessing the site, we identified a corrupted template caused by a specific code excerpt related to an image block. Removing this excerpt made the template accessible and editable again. We advised the customer to recreate the removed piece (Imagen IMDb) to restore full functionality.
This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.
Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.
Our next available supporter will start replying to tickets in about 8.47 hours from now. Thank you for your understanding.
We were dealing with a similar issue and we recently released a patch to fix it. If you're not running Toolset Blocks version 1.16.15(https://toolset.com/download/toolset-blocks/#changelog) yet, then the following steps might fix the issue for you:
- Inside your wp-admin please go to Plugins -> Add New.
- Then click on the "Commercial" tab and click on the "Check for updates" button in the Toolset section
- After that please select every red plugin available in the list and then click on "Download" at the bottom of the grid.
After that, please try to edit the template again and check if the issue is fixed.
I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take better look at the issue. You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.
Our Debugging Procedures
I will be checking various settings in the backend to see if the issue can be resolved. Although I won't be making changes that affect the live site, it is still good practice to backup the site before providing us access. In the event that we do need to debug the site further, I will duplicate the site and work in a separate, local development environment to avoid affecting the live site.
- Please make a backup of site files and database before providing us access.
- If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box. The private box looks like this: hidden link
Please, let me know if you need any additional details. Have a nice day.
I'd like to ask permission to make a copy/staging version of your site where I can debug this closely without affecting the live site.
I'll make sure to delete this copy as soon as we get this issue fixed.
I'm afraid of debugging directly on the live site and cause issues to your visitors. Also, it is important to test a different setup as part of the troubleshooting.
I checked it and it looks like the moment I remove the following excerpt from the template directly in the database, it gets accessible/editable again:
