Tell us what you are trying to do?
I have a CRED user form to support allowing a user to update his profile, including his user_email. The system is raising the error referenced above when the only difference is a case-sensitive mismatch such as test@xxx.com versus Test@xxx.com.
The CRED form uses this slug: [cred_field field="user_email" class="form-control" output="bootstrap"]
Hi,
Thank you for contacting us and I'd be happy to assist.
The email addresses are not case-sensitive. For this reason the email validation function in the user forms, needs to ensure that the same email address, with different case-sensitivity, can't be saved again.
Based on this what you're experiencing is expected and if an email address is stored once, it can't be saved again, regardless of the use of upper or lower case letters.
I hope this explanation helps and let me know if you have any follow-up question.
regards,
Waqar
