This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.

I'm not sure offhand, but this post seems to indicate you cannot change an existing User login with wp_update_user:

Finally, found a way by generating a temporary username and change it on a second function, using all 3 Form hooks available.
The code looks terrible, but it does what we need.
By the way, don't you think it will be time that Toolset enter the new age?
I mean, I love emails, but in a world dominated by social medias we have to understand that there are a lot of people, especially the young generation, which don't even know what an email is!
To spend hours coding, just to be able to save a form, without an email address, simply it doesn't sound right 😉

I'd like to correct my first sentence of this ticket: "Maybe a silly question" ...... well, it wasn't!
