Hello,
Since I activated Access on my site, editor user role can't edit pages anymore.
In Access settings, Pages are NOT being managed by Access. I only use access for its allow/deny Guest shortcodes.
Thank you.
Hello, can you try these troubleshooting steps?
- Deactivate all plugins except Types, Views and Access. Activate a default theme like Twenty Nineteen, then test again.
- If the Editor can create a new Page, log in as editor and create a new Page. Then try to edit other pages.
- Are there any post relationships between Pages and other posts? If so, can the Editor role edit the other post types?
- Is WPML active on this site? Does it make a difference in the test results?

Yes WPML is active.
I also have "User Role Editor" plugin active. In deed, I need to allow Gravity forms edit to editors, but Access doesn't list Gravity Forms permissions.
I will duplicate my site on another domain to perform the tests.
THank you.
I will stand by for your updates.
Hello,
I've just tried all this.
- Deactivate all plugins except Types, Views and Access. Activate a default theme like Twenty Nineteen, then test again. ==> no change
- If the Editor can create a new Page, log in as editor and create a new Page. Then try to edit other pages. ==> no change
- Are there any post relationships between Pages and other posts? If so, can the Editor role edit the other post types? ==> no there is not.
- Is WPML active on this site? Does it make a difference in the test results? ==> deactivating WPML solves the problem.
Thank you.
Have you created any WPML Groups in access controls?
Hi,
No I did not ; if possible, I wish not to use Access to manage permissions.
I only need it for its shortcodes "allow=guest" and "deny=guest".
Thank you.
Okay thank you, can I log in to the test domain and create a clone of this site? I will try to run some tests locally.
In order to allow "Editors" user role to be able to edit gravity forms, I needed "Members" plugin, which allows to do this, where Toolset Access can't.
Still, I just noticed "Members" also has the display/hide shortcode I needed with Access. So I've just deactivated Access and it all works great again now !
Thank you.
