I am trying to: Use WPBakery (paid version) to edit a content template. When I switch to use it, the whole editor disappears. If I switch if off again, the editor and content reappears.

I've tried with both the paid WPBakery and the modified version that comes with the Jupiter theme. I've updated all plugins. I;'ve switched all plugins off and traced the fault to the WPBakery plugin.

Link to a page where the issue can be seen: admin page - login required.

I expected to see: The content template using WP Bakery

Instead, I got: missing editor (see screen grab)

UPDATE: I've just checked an Bkery isn't workign for any content types so I have a feeling that it's down to that plugin not yours.

Kind regards
James

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

I just checked with my local test install where only Toolset plugins and WPBakery page builder 6.1 plugins installed.

I tried to build a test content template and I was able to build content template using the WPBakery page builder. Please check the following screenshot:

I see you are using the number of third-party plugins. In order to minimize the cause of the issue, I suggest you should try to run a basic compatibility test.
Could you please try to resolve your issue by deactivating all third-party plugins as well as the default theme to check for any possible conflicts with any of the plugins or themes? - Do you see any difference?

Hi Minesh, many thanks for getting back to me.

The issue is resolved. It turns out that Bakery doesn't like php7.3. Once I'd switched back to 7.2, everything worked as intended. There was no conflict between plugins.

Kind regards
James
