[Closed] Dynamic Button URL doesn't pull up Custom Field Groups for source from post

I am trying to: Add a "First Post" button to a toolset template that uses a link from a parent post custom field.

I expected to see: An option to select the url custom field of a parent post when I was trying to set the source for the "Dynamic Button URL" option.

Instead, I got: No custom fields shown as a source option under a parent post. (Even though they exist)

I just tested this on my own local site and initially I had the same experience, but once I had actual data for the dynamic sources to locate it worked.

So I was editing the template for a child post.

There is a "preview with" link at the top of the page. I needed to make sure that the child post being previewed was actually connected to a parent post.

And that parent post needed a value saved for a URL field for that field to be offered as a source for the button link in the child template.

If the dynamic sources presented every theoretically possible combination that could get overwhelming on a large site, and so some logic is applied to determine what to show when, based upon the data available with the current previewed post.

Could you make sure you have the same available on your site? It should then work.
