I dont think so because you are editing the duplicate content template and from where you are adding/removing blocks, it should stick the changes to the current duplicate content template which you are currently editing.
This is what i mean, "think so" 🙂
If i spent hours making my view there is no simpla back-up than whole database if i do delete the original also... then its lost..
Even if its on a dev-site, its a lot of hours spent that then is gone.
It seems you are circling around two different things. Editing content templates and editing views.
When you add a View block (you need to add the view that is created using blocks), it will give you two option, either you want to edit the original view or edit a copy. Once you chose the option "Edit Copy" it will not affect the original view.
And for content template, you can add/remove blocks as per your requirement with your duplicate content template and it will not effect your original content template.
Im very sorry if i make you frustrated and seams that im not understand you, but i try to do.
No i do not circle around two different thing. i use the Block 1.2, your new tool. thats great btw.
I know there is content template and there is a view in the content template. i maybe explain unclear. sorry for that.
After testing quite a bit i found how to - i didnt understand the thirs step quite, that mouse over gives me an popus that tells me if i like to use a edit copy or edit original... is was a bit confused.
I didnt went all the way. i stoped at the creation of the view as you can see in my attachement, i was looking for the edit copy here.
the selection of edit view comes first later on, when hovering the view.
Im very sorry im not understand you all the way. i do my best.
Now im understand and now im good to go. 🙂
And thank you for your patiens !!!!
