A quick question here. I went through many threads in your forum and read the toolset divi integration page as well as the toolset astra theme integration page.
1) DIVI Theme OR DIVI plugin same limitations ?
I am using Astra Theme + Divi Builder plugin and I was wondering if recommendations & limitations that comes with the DIVI Theme also apply to the DIVI builder plugin (without using the DIVI Theme).
2) Configuration of Toolset when using Astra Theme + DIVI Builder
I'm only planning to use Access Tool for this website but I would like to hear from you about this use but also a more global use of Toolset with Astra + Divi Builder for the benefice of everyone and my future use 😉
- With Astra I should configure Toolset to load Bootstrap 3
https://toolset.com/documentation/recommended-themes/using-toolset-with-astra-theme/#important-toolset-settings
- With Divi Theme (same with DIVI plugin ?) I should rather select "This site is not using Bootstrap CSS"
So what's your take on this? How should we configure Toolset with this kind of combination ?
Thank you !!!
Yes, similar limitations apply to the Divi Builder as those that apply to the Divi theme, as they use the same positioning system and some styles. My take on this is I would not use Divi Builder and Astra together since Divi is not fully compatible with Bootstrap but the preferred setting with Astra is to load Bootstrap. This discrepancy may lead to unexpected problems. Any Toolset feature that relies on Bootstrap may break if you choose not to load Bootstrap. That could include the Form builder, grid-based Views, slider modules, portfolio modules, and so on. If you choose to load Bootstrap, some Divi builder designs may not display exactly right because some Divi CSS classes clash with Bootstrap classes.
Instead, I would consider using the block editor without Divi, or using another page builder that is more compatible with Bootstrap.
Thank you for your feedback.
Astra works very well with DIVI but I guess what I do with Astra could be done fully using Toolset. At the moment I'm only planning to use Access Tool in order to manage permission. I will test and see 🙂
Have a great day
