Divi Builder Does Not Recognize New Post Type

This support ticket is created 6 years, 3 months ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.

I have created a new custom post type called "Episodes". I can create and edit posts using the default WordPress editor, but my Divi Builder does not activate, so I cannot use Divi to create and modify the content.

Divi Builder works perfectly for normal posts and also for Popups created by the WPPopupMaker plugin, so I assume the problem is not with Divi.

If there is something I need to do to enable this integration, please let me know.

Hi David,

Thank you for contacting us and I'll be happy to assist.

The Divi Builder plugin includes an option to control the integration with individual post types at:
WP Admin -> Divi -> Plugin Options -> Post Types Integration
( screenshot: hidden link )

Please make sure that your new custom post type "Episodes" is enabled in there.

Thank you. Your information about Divi is out of date. In the latest version of Divi, I found the correct resolution by going to Divi>Theme Options>Builder and enabling the post type from there.

Thank you for sharing the update and glad you found the correct option in the theme.

The availability of this option can vary based on whether a website is using a theme built on Divi framework or only the Divi Builder plugin.

But thanks to your update, I'm sure this thread will prove useful in the future for users, with either case.
