I am creating a form for post submission.

has the categories section but wanted it to be just the subcategories.

I saw some in the forum, but always with conditional if a mother is selected there appears the subcategories.

I need to be only the subcategories without the parent category.

Hi, there's no built-in way to accomplish this, so you would have to use a significant amount of custom code to achieve it. I can offer some guidance if you can provide some more information.
- Do you want to allow only one subcategory selection, or multiple subcategory selections?
- Is this form configured to create posts, or update posts?
- Have you checked out other tickets to see how generic fields can be populated with Views?
