Tell us what you are trying to do?
Trying to have a search form where a user will specify a UK postcode and show map/posts on another page
Is there any documentation that you are following?
https://toolset.com/course-lesson/displaying-search-results-on-a-different-page/
BUT
The View block has changed and I see no option for "In the right sidebar, look at the Custom Search Settings section and select the Only the search form option."
Is there a similar example that we can see?
What is the link to your site?
Hello and thank you for contacting Toolset support.
You have to create the view on the target page, then go to the source page, and add a view block, then choose the same view, and in the configuration, you can select to display only the form search.
If you are not sure how to do it, allow me temporary access to your website and I'll prepare an example for you. Your next reply will be private to let you share credentials safely. ** Make a database backup before sharing credentials. **
However, Toolset does not offer a built-in search using the zip code(From Toolset Maps). The zip code needs to be set as a custom field or custom taxonomy in order to use it for search. Does it make sense?
I think that you have created another view on the destination page, and you have added the old view on the source page. I just added the correct view on the source page and it works as expected. I kept the old view too on the source page, and I'll let you remove it.
However, for support rules, we are able to handle only one issue at a time. This helps us to bring you a better service and also helps other users to find all the information here exposed. For that reason I will try to answer your last question in one reply, and if you need to discuss it further, please open a new ticket.
Can I set a marker for the centre of the search as well as markers from the database?
Yes, and No. You can set a static center for the map, but withou marker. You can set a static marker by entering an address or its coordinate.
Can I mix "static" markers with dynamic markers?
Yes, but you must provide addresses or coordinates for the static markers.
How do I use the "Hint Content" & "Pop-up Content" in the Map/Marker block?
The hint will display when you hover over a marker. The Pop-up will display after clicking the marker.
I am trying to emulate something like this - hidden link;
In this case, the "You" marker is not actually a static marker, it will dynamically change for each user. That cannot be implemented without some custom code. If you want to further discuss it, please open a separate ticket for it.
