[Resolved] Display first children of taxonomy term on Archive page

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

I created a view to try to show the taxonomy terms with a parent that is the archive shown, but nothing shows.

Solution:

The problem is in taxonomy view:

in section "Query Filter", there is another extra filter:
Taxonomy is set by the page where this View is inserted

In your case, it is not needed, you can remove it and test again.

Hi, this is for Christian Cox.

Hi Christian,
I'm trying to set up a view to display classes on my My Classes page. The "My Classes" page is the highest level taxonomy term layout that you helped me set up.

hidden link

I just want to show the taxonomy title for each term that is a direct child of the My-Classes term. E.g. Knitting Superstar, Brioche Knitting.

I feel like this should be fairly simple yet I don't know how to do it. I created a view to try to show the taxonomy terms with a parent that is the archive shown, but nothing shows.

Can you tell me how to set up this view?

Thank you,
Liat

Dear Liat,

Christian isn't available currently, I will take care of this thread.

I can get your website credentials in your another thread:
https://toolset.com/forums/topic/help-creating-a-nested-view-of-taxonomy-terms-to-display-on-archive-page-sidebar/#post-1101839

So I have checked it in your website, the problem is in taxonomy view:
hidden link
in section "Query Filter", there is another extra filter:
Taxonomy is set by the page where this View is inserted

In your case, it is not needed, you can remove it and test again.

Thank you so much Luo!

Wow, my browser must have been stuck because I could not see either of those filters. No wonder it wasn't working!
I really appreciate you taking a look at this for me and solving it.

Thank you, thank you!

Liat
