Is it possible to create a radio field that has two text field options. If the radio is not checked the text fields are disabled. If the radio box is checked the text fields are enabled and the user can fill them in

In the attached screenshot, if the Radio field called other is not checked the fields called carrier and services are disabled. If the user checks the Radio field called Other the two fields are enabled and the user can fill them in.

(Using Types custom fields and Cred)

Thanks!

Hi Stewart,

Thank you for contacting our support forum.

Actually yes this is possible by using the Types conditionals to check the value of the checkbox to hide or show the fields.

Take a look at the link below as it should serve as a guide on how to achieve this.

Thanks,

That's great thanks - could you also point me in the direction of documentation that shows me how a field can be disabled until a certain condition is met

Thanks

Hi Stewart,

I mentioned the document in my previous post, not sure if you got it but here it is.
https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/types-custom-fields-conditional-display/

It will actually hide the fields until the correct option is selected for the appropriate field to show. We don't have a way to actually disable the field but hiding it is the same concept.

Thanks,
Shane
