I am trying to:
Use Elementor and Toolset Views to design default search page.

Link to a page where the issue can be seen:
This page should contain the default search result page, but content is empty
hidden link

Comment:
I am confused as to way the default search page does not work.
I am using Astra Pro subtheme, Elementor Pro and Toolset.
The confusion probably comes from me trying to combine Elementor and Toolset views in a wrong way.
I try to use Elementor to design the default search page.
But - the default search page is empty - until I deactivate Toolset Views.
If I deactivate the Elementor template I try to use for the the search results, the results are back - but I want to use Elementor to design the search result page.
Could you help me with any guidance on this?

Hi Valter,

Thank you for getting in touch.

I would recommend taking a look at the link below for a tutorial on how to build custom searches with Toolset and Elementor.
https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/using-toolset-with-elementor-page-builder/build-custom-queries-to-list-posts-with-elementor-and-toolset/

Please let me know if this helps.
Thanks,
Shane

Hi, thanks for your help!

I still haven't understood, though, how to use this method to customize WordPress' DEFAULT search result page with Elementor.

I have used Toolset to create a WordPress Archive for posts (and three more post types).
(Example search: hidden link )

What is the next step to customize this in Elementor?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Valter,

I understand the issue clearly now.

So the problem is that you Cannot use elementor and views to customize this page together since it is an archive page.

You can customize it with elementor like the tutorial below.

IF you want to add other custom search features you will strictly need to use views custom archives to do this.

Thanks,
Shane
