[Resolved] Default Category Setting for CPT

This support ticket is created 6 years ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.

On the standard WP Post, it is possible in the settings (Writing) to choose a default Category other than "Uncategorized". Is there a way to do this for a custom post type as well. So far, I haven't found a setting for this.

You are right, there isn't such a built-in feature within Types plugin, and it is already in our feature list:
