date not displaying correctly after update

After the update, the date field is not displaying properly. It's coming out as a series of numbers as a timestamp. I tried taking out the number format so it was just the plain date, but it still came out as a timestamp. This is a pressing issue because it showing up in a lot of places on our site. What can I do to fix this quickly?
