I updated to the latest version (3.4.15) and whenever I tried to save my custom WYSIWYG field, it would be empty or revert to the previous value with no error.

Upon closer inspection, in the DevTools (Chrome), I noticed there was an duplicate of that field being added to the post data at the end, overwriting my changes with whatever was already in that field - whether it was empty or contained other values.

I was able to get the fields working again by downgrading to version 3.4.12.

Hi Brad,

Thank you for getting in touch.

This is actually a known issue and more information about this can be found at the link below.
https://toolset.com/errata/visual-tab-of-wysiwyg-fields-may-not-initialize-correctly-appear-not-to-save-data/

Unfortunately we don't have a solution for this as a solution will need to come directly from wordpress core itself.

Thanks,
Shane
