[Resolved] Custom Taxonomy isn’t showing up under Custom Post Type

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

The issue here is that the user's custom taxonomy is not showing up on their CPT.

Solution:

In this user's case updating to PHP 7 resolved the issue for them. It seems to have been a compatibility issue with php 5.6

I am trying to: create a custom taxomony called Appliance Categories. I've created it and added it to my custom post type. But it's not displaying in the left sidebar under the custom post type or in the editor when I try to edit one of the new custom posts.

Hi Steve,

Thank you for contacting our support forum.

This is quite odd and shouldn't happen. Could you try contacting your host and ask them to update your server to use php version 7?

Thanks,
Shane

That worked. I had to delete the taxonomy & recreate it after changing to 7. But all is good now. Thanks!
