I am trying to:

Make a custom Layout for single posts.
1 - made a custom post type called newspost

2 - Made a single post template
The new template made with wpbakery works and loads, but it loads INSIDE the old single.php template.
giving double content and ugly layout.

As displayed in the screenshot provided, the black circles = old single.php content
the green blocks are the new content made in the new template.

how can i disable the header and sidebar(old content) and only display the new content?

Kind regards,

Hello,

Thank you for the credentials.

I see the issue. Actually for this I would recommend contacting the theme's support team as they are better able to assist with this.

It seems they are loading the sidebar in the template part so you will need to consult with them for the best way to remove this.

Thanks,
Shane
