Also, my options in the section - 'edit post type' are unreadable. see attached photo

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

The display issue could be due to conflict with the plugin/theme you use.

In order to check possible conflict:
Could you please try to resolve your issue by deactivating all third-party plugins as well as the default theme to check for any possible conflicts with any of the plugins or themes?
- Do you see any different?

Regarding the custom field display issue, can you please make sure that custom field group is assigned to display with your desired post type?

Hi Minesh,

I am in the custom post menu, should there be this many instances?

Before performing any action:
*** Please make a FULL BACKUP of your database and website.***

No - there seems to be issue and I suggest you should delete the unwanted custom field group.

I am finding this very confusing now I have updated the plugin. I am unsure if I am seeing only 'Custom Fields' in my CPT 'Volunteer places' which was created over a month ago and worked perfectly. Existing posts show custom fields - if I click 'create new post' only custom fields is viable and had no fields inside it to edit.

'Field group for Rangers Project' and 'Custom Fields' in my CPT 'Rangers Project' which I created yesterday.

I can why is the 'field group for Volunteer places' missing but visible in the dashboard for this CPT?

That is really strange. This seems to be there must be possible conflict between the plugins/theme.

In order to minimize the cause of the issue and to ensure there is no conflict between the plugin(s)/theme you use:

Could you please try to resolve your issue by deactivating all third-party plugins as well as the default theme to check for any possible conflicts with any of the plugins or themes?
- Do you see any difference?

I will try to deactivate the theme on my staging site. by third party plugin do you mean any plugins that are not WP system plugins?

When I say plugins, you should only check with only Toolset plugins active and check if it works as expected.

If yes, then you should try to activate all third-party plugins one by one and check the issue and see if you able to spot what plugin causing the issue.

I am unclear what you mean. Please could you explain with instructions?

I have resolved this issue myself - I have looked at the screen options for the single post in wordpress. Even through 'field groups for post' was selected, it continued to not show in the single post view. I turned them all off, refreshed the page several times and it rectified itself eventually.
