I'm finding it extremely difficult to find information on how to do things, especially as some things are done on the new blocks and others still need the views legacy

I have a custom post type which is flat - ie no categories. I have done a custom archives, but how do I link to it? In other words link to a page that shows all the posts, or will I have to a custom view and forget about custom archive?

Hello and thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

Currently, Blocks do not offer all the features that Legacy Views offer. But we are working every day to complete the features. Our documentation team is also working on new documentation and we have already published some new pages:

I am not sure what you mean by how do I link to it, do you mean the URL of the archive page?
If that's the case, you can get the slug of the archive for the custom post type definition in Toolset->Post Types->Edit your custom post type. Check this screenshot hidden link

If it is not the case, please elaborate a little more on your question so I can better understand? Sometimes screenshots illustrating what you mean may go a long way to clarify what words fail to transmit.

Thank you. I had tried but used the plural!
