Custom fields lose post field control assignment randomly

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.

For some reason, about 5 of our custom fields lose their post field control assignment randomly. When inspecting the post field control page the custom fields in question have lost their assignment and I have to reassign each one manually. This has occurred a few times and we're not sure how to permanently solve.

Hello, has your testing produced any meaningful results? Any errors logged in the server logs? Did the problem occur again overnight?

I haven't seen the issue pop up just yet. We're monitoring it a will look a little deeper at the PHP logs and also try to trigger the error. Hopefully, the PHP MaxInputVars solved the issue, but I can't confirm that just yet.
