I am trying to:
connect existing custom type to another both in many to many and one to many
Link to a page where the issue can be seen:
this is a back end issue
I expected to see:
when I click on the "Connect Existing" button for selecting a related item I expected the cursor to focus on the search box
Instead, I got: cursor focus goes to the first item in the drop down.

Hello,

I can login your website, but I don't see the problem you mentioned above with my Chrome browser, for example, edit the post:
hidden link
in section "Bands Concerts", click button "Connect existing Concert", I can search and select items without any problem.

Is there any missing steps?

It might be a browser problem, you can try to clear your browser cache or try with another browser, and test again.

Hi the issue that I asking about is that it used to be that when you clicked on the "Connect Existing" button the cursor would focus to the search field by default and you didn't have to click on it to set focus and be able to start typing the search term. It's basically now an extra click is required

Thanks for the details, there isn't such kind of built-in feature within Toolset Types plugin: the cursor would focus to the search field by default

You can add a feature request for it:
https://toolset.com/home/contact-us/suggest-a-new-feature-for-toolset/
Our developers will evaluate it.

Currently, you need to click into the search box, then start typing the search term.

what I'm asking about used to be the default behavior only 1 to 2 updates ago. Something changed. I will put it in feature requests because it does make post entry faster.

I have tried with a fresh WP installation 5.6 + old version of Toolset Types plugin 3.4.5, download from:
https://toolset.com/download/toolset-types/#changelog
But I see the same result: the cursor to focus on the first select option instead of search box.

Which version of Toolset Types plugin can reproduce the issue as you mentioned above:
the cursor to focus on the search box

Please provide more details, thanks

So I tracked back to an old copy of the site. It's not your code that changed, it's WP 5.8, in 5.7.2 the cursor goes to the search box, update to 5.8 and you get the current behavior where cursor goes to dropdown

I have tried it again the Toolset Types plugin 3.4.11 + WordPress version 5.7.2, download from:
https://wordpress.org/download/releases/

I get he same result in my Chrome browser:
the cursor to focus on the first select option instead of search box.

Is there any steps missing? Please provide detail steps to reproduce the same result:
the cursor to focus on the search box

Thanks

is there a way to pass you another user/pass combination securely.

I've gone back through some old backups and I've loaded a version that does the cursor. you can find it at hidden link
