Hi!

I'm struggling to import related posts via the Ultimate CSV Importer plugin. I have followed your recipe (https://toolset.com/course-lesson/how-to-import-posts-from-csv-files-and-maintain-relationships-when-using-the-csv-importer-plugin/), but this doesn't work for me.

I store a database with cars and owners, and I have one custom post called "cars" and one called "owners". I try now to connect the cars to the different owners.

The importer does actually refresh the owners post, but the fields "post_relation_slug" and "related_posts" from the cars will not be imported, even though I know the values are correct. On the other hand, I tried to export the owners posts after I manually added a few related cars, and the "types_relationship" and "relationship_slug" fields was left empty in the CSV.

What could cause this problem?

Hello and thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

To better assist you with this issue, I have created a test site on our platform to work on it together until we find out what's going on with this import. You can login using this URL hidden link

Please install the plugin and prepare the custom post types and the relationship in this test site, then share your CSV files in GDrive or DropBox, or send them to my email jamal.b(at)onthegosystems.com
It would also be very nice if you can record a screencast of the import using Loom or screencastify, so I can perform the import the same way you do.

Do I have all the freedom of creating customs posts etc? The CMS tells me that there are som settings I need to verify before I can create custom posts.

I believe that you do. The URL will log you as the administrator of the site, so you are able to do everything.

Please add a recorded screencast so I can follow your steps identically.
