[Resolved] CRED not working as expected

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

The issue here is that the user created a Toolset Form, however when they view the form on the frontend, only the shortcodes are showing and no form.

Solution:

This is because the form is missing the opening and closing required tag.

[credform class='cred-form cred-keep-original']

[/credform]

What you need to do is to open your form on the backend and add the above shortcodes around your existing form.

Ok so how do we resolve the issue?

I need forms with both repeater fields and normal fields all in one form. ANd in the same page...
What can I do?

Hi Marcel,

In order to do this you're going to need to setup the Custom Post type and repeatable fields with all the information.

Then you need to create the form for that CPT that has all the fields by clicking the autogenerate form button.

Please let me know if this helps.

Thanks,
Shane

We have setup a custom post type with all the repeater fields in it. And have setup the different forms. But as for the forms themselves. It seems that repeater field groups require a cred form of their own... Or can we mix them in with a normal form?

Hi Marcel,

You will need to create a separate form for the repeatable field groups.

Thanks,
Shane

Is there no way around it? It's going to cause quite a bit of problems...
Is there no way to have a repeater field in a normal form?

Hi Marcel,

You can have the repeating fields in the normal form but for repeatable field groups, this will need to be in a separate form .

Thanks,
Shane
