i created a custom post type and a child post type that connect to it.
i created a cred form that adds child posts. i want it to appear on the parent post type.
the problem is that that i'm asked to give a "child form page", but it is the same page of the parent.
what can i do to solve it?

i visited here: https://toolset.com/forums/topic/cred-forms-for-child-content-on-original-parent-post/

I expected to see: a cred for add child post in the same page of the parent page.

Thank you for contacting Toolset support, I'd be delighted to assist!

You can create CRED forms for child posts by following this documentation:
https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/cred-forms-for-child-content/

Let me know if this helps!

hi ross, thanks for the respond.
unfortunately that's not what i meant or wrote.

i want that a *child post ***cred form**** will appear in the ***same page*** as the parent post. but i'm asked to give a ***"child form page"***. it is NOT possible since it is ***the SAME page i'm already in***.

hope it is more clear... it is the same problem as in here: https://toolset.com/forums/topic/cred-forms-for-child-content-on-original-parent-post/

Thank you for the clarification!

To accomplish this, custom PHP code will be required along with use of our CRED APIs:
https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/cred-api/

Toolset currently doesn't support this intended use case and as such a custom solution is required. As providing custom solutions is outside the scope of support on the Toolset forums (and any examples are on a best effort basis), I would ask you to kindly contact a Toolset Consultant:

Thank you Ross.
I'm sorry but I don't understand why toolset doesn't support it. i saw number of users with the very same issue, asking for this in the support forum. It is an obvious feature: to show the form and the page it's output should be shown in the same page.
you guys should help solve it, or at least give some directions and not just refer me to the CRED API.

Howdy!

I appreciate your feedback regarding this. Even though a custom code snippet was previously provided by Support, this does not mean that custom development is supported or within our support scope here at Toolset. Support regarding custom code is provided on a best effort basis and differs by each supporter's skill level and ticket load here on the forums.

Currently Toolset doesn't have this ability, to render a CRED form for a child on a Parent CPT and I realize that some hacks have been provided in the past, providing a full custom solution to get it working again isn't something that I can do at this time. Even if I were to spend the time required to write a working, debugged snippet for you - it's likely going to end up breaking in a future Toolset version - just as the previous example did as it uses undocumented internal APIs.

What we can do however is I can submit a feature request to our developers for consideration in a future version of Toolset. I can't promise if or when it'd make it in, but is the first step to getting this feature added and officially supported.

I appreciate your understanding.
