[Resolved] CRED auto drafts being left in the posts table

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
In the database I see CRED autograft Posts.
They are created without my action and seem to be not deleted.

Solution:
CRED creates an autodraft the very moment the form get's visited and re-visited from any other Computer.
This is so to avoid 2 users submit the post and getting it merged into one post.
Those autdrafts are deleted by a CRON event, all 4 hours.

For CRON to work you must visit the site from time to time.
This is usually no problem as a public site is visited at least once a day.

Locally that can be a problem, since those sites might not be active when you do not work on them.

This call got suddenly closed, even though it was with being looked at by support?

I see this issue started here:
https://toolset.com/forums/topic/cred-auto-draft-not-being-deleted-from-the-media-library/
That is solved and expected.

Then I see that here you mentioned, those Drafts are NOT deleted as expected:
https://toolset.com/forums/topic/cred-auto-drafts-being-left-in-the-posts-table/

And the status is "I will see to replicate this".

Well, I never got a report for this so I assume this ticket has not been handed.
I asked our Systems Administrators to investigate what happened there, I assume it might have been a simple mistake of Shane by setting "I think it's resolved" instead of "I'm still working on this" and then the ticket got closed.

But you would hav received emails about that.

Now, about the issue.

1. CRED Does not and will not delete any attachment or image once uploaded.
As said it might be that they get used elsewhere later.

2. CRED creates an autodraft the very moment the form get's visited and re-visited from any other Computer.
This is so to avoid 2 users submit the post and getting it merged into one post.

I tried to find such CRED Form Posts in my database but cannot. I use these sites sporadically where I tested that, and there is some user interaction with CRED forms - so I should be able to see the same problem but can't

Eventually this is an exception.

I need a copy of that site if possible.

Auto Draft.png

I went to look at the posts table today and there are different Auto Draft's found and of more recent dates (the Auto Draft's as seen in the ORIGINAL screen dump are no longer there). So it does appear that older copies are being removed. I will keep an eye on it, so am happy that this is closed.
