Hi Tobias,
Christian is currently unavailable today but will be back tomorrow to continue assisting with this ticket.
Thanks,
Shane
do you think I should get a contractor right away or can I get away with it with my really minor coding experience?
I'm not sure...I really do not know enough about you or the project to answer to this question very well. I think it depends on many factors like the project timeline, the project budget, your skillset, and your ability to learn and apply new coding concepts. My best guess is you should hire a contractor right away and spend your time on another aspect of the project that you can accomplish yourself.
Cool, thx for the straight-forward reply. Well, I don't have the time to really become a coder so I guess i would be smart to get a contractor. On the other hand I love pre-solving most of the conceptual stuff first, so the coders then really can work forward and know what I am going for. So I greatly appreciate your help with this.
There are many contractors out there and as a non-coder it's hard to know who would suit my project best, do you have any recommendations for a coder that would love to help me build a filmmaking based website? Thx again. Tobi
The support team doesn't have personal or professional relationships with the contractors in our portal, so we typically do not recommend one over another. I would look for someone who understands implementing generic fields in Forms, using the Forms API with generic fields, generating posts automatically in PHP, and using the post relationships API to connect posts in a post relationship. If they understand those key concepts they should be able to handle this project.
