[Resolved] creating a content template for pop-up content in map block

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The user would like to have a way to preview an unassigned content template while editing it.

Solution:
You can work around this by saving the content template and going to a post(from your custom post type) and assign the content template to it while testing until you finish building the template, then unassign it, and use it in your view.

Tell us what you are trying to do?
I'm trying to create a content template for pop-up content in a map block. The intent is to display specific custom fields of a custom post type created by types. As the template will be for a view, it isn't assigned to any post type.

However, in the template editor, for the 'view with' option, the post type for which the template is for is not available in the drop down. As such, I cannot access the custom fields for the post type.

Is there any way I can expand the 'view with' dropdown, or search for any post belonging to the post types the view is for?

Is there any documentation that you are following?

Is there a similar example that we can see?

Hello and thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

You can work around this by saving the content template and going to a post(from your custom post type) and assign the content template to it while testing until you finish building the template, then unassign it, and use it in your view.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions.
