Create a menu within a Custom Post type to display different views.
Ideally, I would love to do this with the native WordPress Menu structure like this: hidden link but after a lot of searching I can't see a solution for this.
The Custom Post Type structure is Places and each place will have sections for About, Map, Milestones & Assets which I would love to show on separate pages/views under the Custom Post Type. Is this possible?
Hello @tasneemA, welcome to the Toolset support Forum!
You need to create a submenu, which is displayed only on the single page of the custom post type, correct?
You can try to create a view with the links, and then add the view in the single template of the custom post type. You may need some CSS to leave the menu looking like this.
You can also use Toolset Layouts with the “Tabs Cell”, so you can design the CPT pages using layouts and add the tab cells to navigate through.
Please let me know if it worked for you.
Kind regards,
Diego
I had tried a view with links shown in the single.php but wasn't able to achieve what I wanted to.
I had forgotten about using the builder for this purpose - I am using the Divi theme so the tabbed layout is really working out perfect for the purpose of prototyping the functionality. Thank you for pointing that out, it works brilliantly and the page doesn't have to reload which is a performance bonus :-)!
