I am trying to: add content template to layout to show custom post

I visited this URL: hidden link (that is page with 2 sections - content template + html text block). Content template shows no content in front end (thru layouts), but it has been set up to show custom post type post, template has post title as heading + post body and needed post has been also selected, is created and has it's content (text).

I expected to see: custom type post content in it's section, managed by template

Instead, I got: no content, only content of html block in other section is seen.

WP is fresh setup, using only wp-types bundle + wpml bundle + toolset starter skin (and it's child)

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

I need to check on your install.

1)
Could you please share problem URL?

2)
*** Please make a FULL BACKUP of your database and website.***
I would also eventually need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to your site. Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed.

I would additionally need your permission to de- and re-activate Plugins and the Theme, and to change configurations on the site. This is also a reason the backup is really important. If you agree to this, please use the form fields I have enabled below to provide temporary access details (wp-admin and FTP).

I have set the next reply to private which means only you and I have access to it.

Indeed, there is some issue, I reported this issue to our developers.

Strangely, the selected post from dropdown does not remain selected.

As a workaround I've modified your code as follows:

<h1>[wpv-post-title output='sanitize' id="12"]</h1>
[wpv-post-body view_template='None' id="12"]

Hoping that this will be fixed in next updates...
Thanks again!
