Hi,

I feel I always had that problem for many sites, many versions, with many themes and never found a proper solution. It starts to be too much.

I create a content template, I assign it to a specific category of posts. It's working well. And one day, I discover only the main language displays the content template and the secondary langue doesn't display it anymore.

I found this old topic, but I'm lost:
https://toolset.com/forums/topic/content-template-not-assigned-on-translated-post/

Also, I don't want to fix it temporarily and then discover it stopped to work properly. I'd like to permanently fix it!

Is there somewhere a RECENT and up-to-date tutorial to understand how I can create a content template, assign it to a category of post, and see it being ALWAYS displayed for all languages???

Hi Xavier

I just ran a series of tests on a local multilingual test site and didn't experience the problem you describe: a Content Template which is assigned to some category of posts is used for all the posts it is expected to be used for, in the original language and in translations.

You don't mention translating the content template at all, so I assume you are not doing that.

Given that I can't reproduce the problem, it would help to be able to take a look at your site, and possibly to take a copy of it for testing, if that's okay

Let me mark your next reply as private so that we can get log-in credentials from you—you may want to create a temporary admin user for us to use that you can later delete. And be sure to have a current backup of your site.

Can you also confirm which template we can look at to see the problem with which posts?

Hello,

Please update here when your test site is ready, private message box enabled again.

I'm not able to replicate the bug on a test site. :/

I'll open a new ticket if one day I manage to do that. But I experiment this since a long time. Quite bored about it.

There might be some other compatibility issue in your website, please check these:
1) Make sure you are using the latest version of Toolset plugins, you can download them here:
https://toolset.com/account/downloads/

2) In case it is a compatibility problem, please deactivate all other plugins, and switch to WordPress default theme 2021, deactivate all custom PHP/JS code snippets, and test again

3) If the problem still persists, please provide database dump file(ZIP file) of your website, you can put the package files in your own google drive disk, share the link only, I need to test and debug it in my localhost, thanks
