I created it in the block editor, but on the front end my edits are not appearing.

Twenty Twentry five theme is a FSE theme and we are working on the compatibility of the FSE (Full Site Editing) theme.
Please check the following errata page for more details:

You may want to switch to the twentytwentyone theme (non FSE) theme.
