Content Templates simply do not work. The custom post type I have created is never affected by the content templates even though I have assigned the templates correctly to the custom post type. I deleted my whole database, uninstalled wordpress, and reinstalled it - still not working. Zero other plugins are in play here.

Can someone help me?

Hi there

What theme are you using? I suspect it must be a block-based theme.

Toolset currently only works with PHP-based themes. The changes in the WordPress templating system with block-based themes are substantial and significantly affect Toolset's ability to customise the output.

See https://toolset.com/errata/toolset-templates-archives-and-dynamic-sources-dont-work-with-fse-themes/

I'm sorry for the inconvenience. Although we have the known issue report, I've asked the documentation team to make it clear on our guides for new users such as yourself that you will need to be using a PHP-based theme to see the results of your work.

Ok, thank you for that clarification. However, I'm encountering another seperate issue - I am trying to install the Toolset Starter theme and getting this error:

"Installation failed: The package could not be installed. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature"

This is on a brand new install of Toolset. Looking forward to your response.

Hi,

Toolset Starter Theme is deprecated and that is why the tab "themes" is removed from the downloads page.

You can use the 2022 default WordPress theme as a starting point.

Thank you.
