Dear Sir/Madam,

I am going to assign a content template to post with several post categories, but I can't find the category from dropdown list.

Attached please find that I have the category special-publication but I can't find it from the dropdown list from the Edit Conditions

Before I change the condition in advanced mode, I am sure I have 10 Content template, after I set in advanced editor, it is failed, and then I can't see all content templates.

FYI, after you login, you may need to revisit hidden link to access the backend.

Hi,

Welcome to Toolset support. I see that there is a critical error and it is not possible to go to the Content template itself.

You might need to recreate the Content template.

But for now please enable the debug mode in WordPress to see what is the error itself.

Would you please access your website files and edit the "wp-config.php" file on the root folder of your WordPress installation and add the code below into the file:

define( 'WP_DEBUG', true );
define( 'WP_DEBUG_LOG', true );
define( 'WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY', true );

Please add the code above the line below:

/* That's all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */

For more information:

Thanks.

Dear Christopher,

The critical issue is getting back all the Content Templates and recreating them.

Hi,

That is why I asked you to enable the debug mode so we can see what is the error behind the scene, did you enable the debug mode following the steps I mentioned?

Thanks.

Dear Christopher,

Yes, I added the debug but no idea what next I can do, I did upgrade all Toolset to latest version? When I visit the Content Template page again, I found the error is caused by Toolset block itself.

Hi,

Thank you for sharing the error, it seems that one of the content templates you have is corrupt and that caused the issue.

The error you shared in the screenshot is usually a warning in PHP 7.4. That means in PHP 8 it breaks the website but in PHP 7,4 it should work.

So would you please contact you hosting service provider and ask them to temporarily downgrade PHP to version 7.4 and then check the content template to know why the issue happens?

The best way is to delete the content template that has the issue and recreate it.

Thanks.

I found a possible issue, as my post has more than 10 categories, will it be the restriction to the dropdown? Once I use the advanced editor then the content template will be corrupted.

I tried to use classic editor to edit the content template but there is no option for me to select the specific post category

I take risk to update the post using Advanced Editor, once I save and then the selected category changed to 'undefined' and redo edit conditions and can't select the category successfully (hidden link)

I try to do advanced editor again and found the syntax looks wrong

Hi,

Thank you for the informaiton. Unfortunately the given user/pass is not admin and I can not access Toolset menus.

Would you please provide an administrator login? Please make sure you will set the next reply a private to provide the info.

Also tell me which View to check. It is better to avoid the advanced conditional mode and use the normal one, I will check to see why the category in question is not showing onb the list.

Also to answer regarding the legacy view, please clcikt he screen options at the top and make sure all checkboxes there are checked and then you will see a section to add a query filter.

For more information:

https://toolset.com/documentation/legacy-features/views-plugin/#filtering-queries

Just FYI, the reply time will be longer due to the holiday season.

Thank you.

You can simply edit hidden link and add the categories "安協薈刊" (slug publication), "年刊" (slug annual-publication) and "特刊" (slug special-publication), I can only add both the 安協薈刊 and 年刊 from the dropdown list or you can create a new one for testing.

please kindly tell me the steps how you can do if work.

Hi,

Thank you for the information and I now see what you mean. The list of the categories in the condition is cut off and you can not select the category you want.

Please use the CTRL - Key combination to zoom out the website to be able to see ethe whole list.

You can also click the three doors menu on Chrome and use the zoom option and make the zoom for example 50% to zoom out an dse ethe whole list.

I created a video showing how to do so:

Thanks.
