I am trying to:
Create a reference site. I created an archive and one item for that archive. Neither the archive nor the custom post fits correctly within the content area.

Link to a page where the issue can be seen:
hidden link /*passports*/

I expected to see:
The content using the same div structure as the native page and/or post do.

Instead, I got:
The archive goes over the sidebar, the custom post (Honduras passport) has an auto margin that squeezes it to the middle. I unsuccessfully tried to fix with CSS.

I cannot see much wrong with that archive, but perhaps you adjusted it already.

In fact I see quite the same layout as on the single post:
hidden link

Note that if you want to style the content part of your single post you'd apply Content Templates and add HTML + ShortCodes in there.
Those are then not automatically as well applied to archives, but you may do so by creating a WordPress Archive for your posts in Toolset > WordPress Archives and there, you could again apply the same Content Template to the Loop of that View.

This way you'd have the same HTML and information in both places.

You can read more about content templates, it's theme support and archives here:
