Tell us what you are trying to do?
I have custom posts on my site with several thousand entries. Each custom post has First Name and Surname fields. There is also a search page to search the custom posts and return results. We have a number of entries where the surname might have a space in the surname (i.e. - "Mc Guinness" or "Mc Carthy"). Currently if I do a search in the surname field for "Mc Guinness" or "Guinness" it returns results. If I search for "McGuinness" it doesn't return any results. I would like it to return results. Can you please advise how I can configure the search correctly?

Is there any documentation that you are following? No

Is there a similar example that we can see?

Hello,

There isn't such kind of built-in feature within Toolset plugins, I have searched it in google, and found some related threads, for example:
https://wordpress.org/support/topic/search-with-and-without-spaces/
Above thread is based on Relevanssi plugin, and you can follow our document add custom fields into Relevanssi settings

Thanks for your reply.

I presume if I was to use Relevanssi then I would have to move away from Toolset completely? Or there is a way to configure Toolset to work with Relevanssi?

Separately, there is a way to add this as a new Toolset feature request?

Thank you

Sorry, here is the document about: Searching Texts in Custom Fields with Toolset and Relevanssi in WordPress
https://toolset.com/course-lesson/searching-texts-in-custom-fields-with-toolset-and-relevanssi/
As I mentioned above, you can follow our document to add custom fields into Relevanssi settings

And you can add a feature request for it:
https://toolset.com/home/contact-us/suggest-a-new-feature-for-toolset/
Our developers will evaluate it.
