Classifieds Submissions Question

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.

I'm using the Classifieds starter site with the GeneratePress theme and have modified it for our use. I noticed that submissions submitted on the frontend using the CRED form are working fine, but when I create a listing on the backend, the listings are not showing up in the "Recent Listings" section (view) on the homepage, although they do show up on the "All Listings" view. Is this due to a setting that was specified in the "Recent Listings" view for the classifieds site?

Hi there,

Thanks for asking! I'd be happy to help.

Your understanding is correct. By default, the view "Ads list – grid" that controls the recent listings shown on the home page, includes a "Query Filter" that only shows "Published" listings, for which the automatic expiration time is greater than today. ( screenshot: hidden link )

Since that demo website is public, that check ensures that only the intended listings which are part of the demo are shown on the front-end (and not the newer ones submitted from the visitors).

You can delete that query filter and the newer listings will show.
