I am trying to: make custom type pages including child relation page which is another type.
I visited this URL: my site is hidden link
I expected to see: child contents are seen in their type list.
Instead, I got: child contents type were changed to parents type. all of the contents of parents and child are in the parents post type folder.
This should not happen.
Please can you follow this steps:
1. Head to Toolset > Post types > your_child_post_type > edit and scroll down to the Post relationship table
- Make sure the correct Post type is set as PARENT there.
- Make sure, nothing else is selected in that table
- Save
2. Head to Toolset > Post types > your_parent_post_type > edit and scroll down to the Post relationship table
- Make sure the correct Post type is set as CHILD there.
- Make sure, nothing else is selected in that table
- Save
3. Head to your Child posts > all > any_child_post > edit
- Check if the correct Parent Post is saved for this post
- Repeat above check for a few posts
- Then head to your Child posts > all > select all > Bulk actions > Edit and hit "apply".
- Make NO Changes to anything and save.
4. Repeat the steps #3 for the Parent Post type
Is the issue solved now?
Other wise, I think we need to approach it quickly with some basic debug steps:
1. Does the issue also persist with a WordPress Default Theme and NO Plugins BUT the Toolset Plugins?
If not, could you then re-enable the Plugins one after the other, and check the issue each time you enable a plugin?
Please report me when the issue comes back
It might also be due to the Theme.
Please do reactivate your Theme only after you are sure the issue isn't coming form a 3rd Party Plugin.
2. Reinstall the Plugins manually:
❌ Backup your website and database ❌
• Deactivate/Delete the "Installer" plugin (if you have it)
• Deactivate all Toolset plugins
• Login via FTP to your wp-content/plugins folder
• Delete all Toolset Plugins folders
• Go to https://toolset.com/account/downloads/ and download the latest stable Types Plugin, then extract it.
• Upload the plugin via FTP to the wp-content/plugins folder.
⌥ alternatively you could upload the .zip file using Dashboard > Plugins > New > Upload
• Register the Plugin for your site
⌥ you can do that under Dashboard > Types > Settings > Types Tools > Installer
• Download all other needed Plugins
• Activate them in Dashboard > Plugins
This should not generate any problems.
Please let me know if this solves the issues.
Thank you
Hi ! Beda.
I found one of plugin made that problem.
'Post Type Switcher' conflicts Toolset .
Sometimes it has been useful for us but unfortunately no more.
I hope using both of them in near future.
Thanks.
