[Resolved] Change from posts2posts to toolset

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem: I would like to import posts from another site. These posts were originally related in M2M relationships using posts2posts, but I would like to import them into Toolset M2M relationships.

Solution:
You can import content using CSV, including post relationships. If custom CSV files aren't possible, we offer a PHP API that can help you programmatically associate existing posts after import.

Tell us what you are trying to do?
Convert existing many to many relationships to toolset
Is there any documentation that you are following?

I previously contract you regarding a need to convert an existing many to many relationships to toolset.

The plugin used custom tables as does toolset. Are you able to offer any advise to help me convert around 1000 posts / relationships 🙂

Hi, if you're able to export the posts-to-posts data in a custom CSV format, you can import that information into Toolset. We have some information about importing posts and post relationships using CSV files, available here:
https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/importing-content-from-csv-with-post-relationships/
https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/how-to-import-content-into-wordpress-using-csv/import-content-csv-importer-plugin/

If you're not able to generate custom CSV files, a custom code solution might be necessary. We have information about programmatically defining Toolset relationships with the Post Relationships API here:
https://toolset.com/documentation/customizing-sites-using-php/post-relationships-api/#toolset_connect_posts

We also have a contractor portal available where you can connect with independent professionals who are knowledgeable about Toolset: https://toolset.com/contractors

Thank you for the information.
I was able to export the previous connections via the database.
I then created the new connections in toolset and used the api to programmatically create the connections automatically via php. 880 post connections updated and created within 30 minutes.

Excellent!
