Well - I do not see any issue with my test install and no other user reported such an issue. This looks specific to your install and theme.
In order to minimize the cause of the issue - we already know this works with default 2017 theme:
Could you please try to resolve your issue by deactivating all third-party plugins as well as the default theme to check for any possible conflicts with any of the plugins or themes?
(Please check with only Toolset plugins active + your theme and later with 2017 theme)
If your issue still persists - then it could be the compatibility issue with the theme you are using. To ensure its theme compatibility I need to reproduce the issue and for that I need your theme copy. Please share link to download your parent and child theme zip.
I have set the next reply to private which means only you and I have access to it.
This certainly looks like theme compatibility issue as with my test install I see the same problem. It's not loading the view's archive but the default archive.
If you agree - I will report this to our compatibility department but for that, I need the following information:
- Theme author email
- Theme author name
- Theme author site
Please note that this will take a long time as we will try to interact with the theme author but there is no ETA on it.
